The following positions are open for election for the 2010/2011 Season:
Nominations and elections will take place at the Spring General Meeting. Mark your calendars, the General Meeting will take place Monday, April 12, 2010, 6:30pm, at the Bocci Club, 2nd floor, 65 Danny Road, Hyde Park. For Directions click here.

President |
• Preside over and generally supervise all meetings and affairs of HPYH
• Represent HPYH at GBYHL and District Meetings
• Serve as Ex-officio member of all standing committees |

Vice President

• Assist the President on the discharge of their duties
• Represent HPYH at GBYHL Meetings |

Treasurer
|
• Handle all incoming and outgoing monies for HPYH, recording all transactions using Quickbooks
• Manage and distribute member invoices and pay HPYH general account bills
• Report financial state of HPYH at all Board meetings |

Secretary
|
• Set up location and agenda for all meetings and maintain permanent record of meeting minutes
• Oversee all communications to members of the HPYH community
• Manage all media coverage of HPYH community |
1 year term |
Registrar
|
• Prepare and manage all roster requirements for USA Hockey, Mass Hockey and the GBYHL |
1 year term |
Trustee
|
• Be the voice of the general membership of HPYH, holding the members of the HPYH board accountable in upholding their duties as outlined in the bylaws
• Chair the Disciplinary Committee
• Solicit/Prepare R.F.P.s for major club financial contracted purchases, ie: Skills, non-Bajko ice rental contracts and Review/Present to Board for selection of vendors
• Prepare a State of the Hockey Club report for the General Meeting each spring |

Fund Raising Director

• Coordinate all HPYH fund raising activities
• Solicit monies for HPYH sponsorships
• Work with treasurer to insure proper deposit of funds |

Snack Bar Director

• Maintain and operate the Bajko Rink Snack Bar
• Manage staffing of the Snack Bar
• Handle all incoming and outgoing monies for the Snack Bar, recording all transactions using QuickBooks
• Report financial state of Snack Bar at all Board meetings |

-Squirt/Mite

-Intro to Hockey
-Learn to Skate |
• Help promote and grow the program
• Liaison between Coaches/Parents and Board of Trustees
• Recruit coaches and volunteers for teams
• Provide coaches with necessary supplies and resources
• Provide support/knowledge so coaches and teams operate properly and fulfill all requirements of USA Hockey, Mass Hockey, GBYHL, and HPYH objectives
• The Travel Team Level Directors are members of the Disciplinary Committee |

Beyond basic duties, committees are formed each season to address club needs, such as:
• Equipment/Jerseys
• Hardship
• Bavis Tournament
• Tryouts
The Board of Trustees meets only once a month, currently the 4th Monday, from August through May. Remember, hockey people are fun and it’s all about the kids, so make your voice heard and run for office this year!

ALL general members of Hyde Park Youth Hockey in good standing are eligible to run and vote for open positions on the HPYH Board of Trustees at the General Board Meeting each spring. At the meeting, the current President calls out to meeting attendees for nominations to the open positions. If nominated, you are asked to accept or decline. If there is more than one person running for a position, a written vote will be called for.
